Planning Commission

The Buckingham Township Planning Commission is an advisory body making recommendations to the Supervisors regarding issues of development, open space and community growth.

The Commission consists of seven township residents appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The residents serve on a voluntary basis for a four year staggered term.

Working within the guidelines of the Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Code, Township Ordinances and with the direction of the Township Planner, Engineer and Landscape Review Consultants, the Commission scrutinizes all plans submitted for development. Site visits are often made to properties proposed for development.

The Commission works vigorously with members of the community and developers during the entire development process. Acknowledging that everyone has concerns when a property is considered for development, we strive to advance plans that best address common objectives.

The Planning Commission invites resident participation in all of its meetings.
