Board of Supervisors Work Session
Wednesday, March 24 2010
The work session of the Buckingham Township Board of Supervisors was held March 24, 2010 in the Township Building, 4613 Hughesian Drive, Buckingham, Pennsylvania.
Present:
Maggie Rash Vice-Chairman
Henry Rowan Member
Craig A. Smith, Esquire Township Solicitor
Dan Gray Township Engineer
Dana Cozza Township Manager
Absent: Jon Forest Chairman
Lynn Bush Bucks County Planning Commission
The meeting was called to order at 6:00pm.
1. Wycombe Train Station – Landscaping Plan
Ms. Cozza presented the phase one plan put together by Jeff Price for the Residents of Wycombe Village (the group will put in landscaping and then maintain it). Ms. Cozza also presented phase two noting a new garden on the plan but indicated they were not yet ready to do it. She noted that she had some concerns regarding parking and the placement of the garden in phase 2 but felt the issues could be resolved.
Mr. George Michel noted that the train station was packed with bicyclists on weekends. Ms. Cozza discussed a nuisance to the neighbors because of a lack of bathroom facilities. Ms. Cozza reported that the Township had suggested having the Central Bucks Bicycle Club put in a port-a-potty at the rear of the property.
Mrs. Rash and Mr. Rowan gave approval for the phase one plan. Consensus was to have phase one done and see how it works and then look more closely at phase two.
Ms. Cozza reported that they wanted to do the landscaping this spring.
The meeting was adjourned to executive session at 7:05pm
Approved by the Board of Supervisors on the 14th day of April, 2010.
