As summer comes to a close, Buckingham Township has several important updates to share with residents. Please note that Township offices will be closed on Monday, September 1st, in observance of Labor Day. Before the holiday weekend, we invite you to join us for the last concert of our 2025 Summer Concert Series on Thursday, August 28th, at 7:00 PM in Hansel Park, featuring the always popular Yesterday’s Gone. Bring a chair, bring a friend, and enjoy a great night of live music in the park.
Looking ahead, our fall calendar is full of community events, including Land Preservation with Maggie Rash September 12th, Historic Trinity Open House Tours September 14th, and the Militia Encampment later in September 20th. Be sure to subscribe to our Township Event Calendar for details, times, and updates!
The 2025 Leaf Bag Program will begin on September 22nd. Residents may pick up their leaf bags at the Township Building beginning that day, with a limit of 25 bags per residence. Please see the program flyer for more information. There is also still time to purchase exclusive Buckingham 325 merchandise and a Legacy Brick, a wonderful way to honor our community’s heritage.
Our Environmental Advisory Commission (EAC) continues to support sustainability in Buckingham. We encourage residents to read Andrea Strout’s article “Thinking of Converting Your Lawn to Meadow?” for ideas on natural landscaping. Residents can also spot our new Bird Town signs along Route 263 just north of Sugar Bottom Road and on Route 202 north of 313. In addition, we are proud to announce that Buckingham Township is now a Silver Certified Sustainable PA Community, a recognition of our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship.
We are also proud to celebrate our Police Department. Please join us in congratulating Corporal Kevin Myslinski, who recently graduated from the Pennsylvania State Police Leadership Development Training Program, a significant milestone in his career. For news, safety information, and police updates, residents are encouraged to subscribe to the Buckingham Police Department Crimewatch.
Finally, as students head back to school, the Township extends its best wishes to all children and families for a safe, fun, and successful school year!
