The Buckingham Township Environmental Advisory Commission (EAC) in collaboration with the Bucks County Master Watershed Stewards and Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) is presenting a talk on forever chemicals, also known as PFAS or Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances.
Recently the State of Pennsylvania and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) established new standards governing allowable concentrations of these substances in drinking water. The talk will cover research being conducted at Penn State to answer these questions: What is PFAS? Where does it come from? What are its health impacts? What are the new rules/water quality standards? What is Buckingham Township doing to protect our public water supply? And what can a home owner on a well do to protect their health?
Join us February 27, 2026 from 7-9PM at the Township Building located at 4613 Hughesian Drive in Buckingham, PA.
