Buckingham Township is proud to recognize the dedicated individuals who served on the Township's 325th Anniversary Committee and who now continue their efforts as members of the Buckingham Township Historic Commission.
At the May 27 Board of Supervisors meeting, members were presented with proclamations by Senator Steve Santarsiero and State Rep. Tim Brennan honoring their outstanding contributions to the community.
The 325th Anniversary Committee played a significant role in commemorating Buckingham Township's history through educational programs, community events, historical exhibits, commemorative merchandise, and the creation of the Township's 325th Anniversary seal. Guided by their motto, "Ensuring our Past Has a Future," the committee helped foster a deeper appreciation for Buckingham's heritage while engaging residents of all ages.
Today, many of those same dedicated volunteers continue their service through the Historic Commission, where they work to preserve, protect, and promote the Township's historic resources and stories.
Buckingham Township extends its sincere appreciation to these individuals for their passion, leadership, and unwavering commitment to preserving our community's history for generations to come.
