Buckingham Township is proud to be recognized alongside neighboring municipalities through the PSATS Excellence in Intergovernmental Cooperation Award.
The award recognizes the decades-long regional effort led by the Doylestown Community Bike and Hike Committee to connect local trail networks and expand recreational opportunities throughout Bucks County. Buckingham Township was recognized as one of four townships and three boroughs cooperating on this initiative.
Through continued collaboration, participating municipalities have worked together on trail connections, improvements, public-awareness efforts, and planning. These partnerships help residents travel more safely between communities while improving access to parks, schools, businesses, and other recreational destinations.
The PSATS award specifically honors municipalities that work together creatively to complete projects, share resources, reduce costs, and provide more effective services. Buckingham Township values this regional cooperation and the positive impact it has on the quality of life for residents across Bucks County.
